I love the way this white garage glows in the sun at the top of the hill that is Ives Road in Conway, MA. This October morning I had to painting it and the fall leaves all around and on the ground. I titled this paitning “Radiance/Amazed” after one of my facorite Wendell Berry poems on trees, which ends: “In fall, their brightened leaves, released,/ fly down the wind, and we are pleased/ to walk on radiance, amazed. / O light come down to earth, be praised!”
